    Trinidad Museum

    The next volunteer training is focused on People and Place. We will meet at the Trinidad Museum before driving down to Trinidad Head and taking a walk up to the lighthouse. This is open to any volunteer, whether you have attended previous sessions or not. Patti Fleschner, President of the Trinidad Museum Society and Shirley Laos, from the Trinidad Rancheria will be sharing stories of people and the land around the Trinidad area.     Seabird Walk with Shannon Murphy, Biologist for the Seabird Protection Network

    Learn about the sea birds that make their home on the rocks of the newest addition to the California Coastal National Monument. Afterwards, enjoy the annual Trinidad Fish Festival and tour the Trinidad Lighthouse. Meet at the Land Trust Office.

    Join guest speaker Craig Wruck, Vice President for University Advancement at Humboldt State, to hear examples of how community-minded people can leave a conservation legacy for future generations with an estate plan (i.e., tax-deductible willed gifts of property or assets).     BioBlitz

    Trinidad Coastal Land Trust and Friends of the Dunes team up to participate in a Bioblitz of the California coast. Participants use the app iNaturalist to document their findings. Meet at the Land Trust office at 6:45 a.m. and carpool to Baker Beach.
