Luffenholtz Beach and the Point Trail-head are owned by the state of California but not currently maintained, so watch your step. There is amble parking but no restroom. The narrow Point Trail leads out to the edge of a cliff, so mind your steps. Hikers will be rewarded with a sweeping overlook of the Pacific Ocean and the sound of the waves pounding on the bluff. The Beach trail is steep with many steps to reach the beach. Be prepared to take off your shoes and cross the creek before reaching the tide-pools at low tides. The TCLT holds ownership of the northern side.
